سیاست و بازاریابی - گیم فا / سرانجام مراسم Golden Joystick Awards 2022 برگزار شد و بهترین‌ بازی‌های هر رشته انتخاب شدند. Elden Ring در این رویداد هر دو جایزۀ اصلی بهترین بازی سال از دید منتقدان و بهترین بازی سال از دید گیمرها را از آن خود کرد.
این مراسم در انتخاب جوایز، رویکردی متفاوت از سایر جشنواره‌ها دارد. برندگان اکثر رشته‌ها، توسط مخاطبین انتخاب خواهند شد و هیئت داوری نقشی در این موضوع ندارد، اگرچه برندگان بخش‌های «انتخاب منتقدین»، «بهترین بازیگری» و «بهترین پیشرفت» توسط داورانی خبره انتخاب خواهند شد. این مراسم توسط تحریریۀ دو وبسایت PC Gamer و Gamesradar و همچنین مجله‌های PLAY! و EDGE داوری می‌شود. نکتۀ قابل توجه آن است که رای‌گیری برای رشتۀ بهترین بازی سال همزمان با سایر رشته‌ها صورت نگرفت؛ به همین دلیل، God of War Ragnarok تنها به رشتۀ بهترین بازی سال راه پیدا کرد.
